Sky Bound Hops
Parker and Chelsea took a stroll through the hop yard this evening… we’ve seen a few Japanese beetles, so now it’s time to keep a close eye on the hops while they start to form their cones!

There wasn’t really anything Chelsea could do to protect herself from the dirt floating through the air while she was mowing today, but Greg made sure to wear plenty of PPE while he sprayed a fungicide on the hops! The hops are finally tall enough that we had to break out the air blast sprayer to cover the entire plant!

There’s nothing quite like the smell of fish 💩 floating along the breeze while you’re trying to weed the hop yard.. 🤢
It makes great fertilizer though, so we can’t complain too much! Look at how tall the hops have gotten in two weeks!

We’ve been training hops all week long and are almost done! This little guy made sure we were doing a good job!

Greg got a new toy for the hop yard this year! This piece of equipment is going to help us cut back on a lot of the time we spend weeding by hand every season. Tonight was our first trial in the yard, and it was awesome!
